  What distinguishes CodeRED from other telephone emergency notification services?  
  Pantented Technology - CodeRED utilizes the patented RealCall® message delivery system. RealCall® technology is unique in its ability to deliver pre-recorded messages to recipients, including their answering devices, IN FULL. Without truncating or looping your emergency messages. In emergency situations, the ability to deliver the ENTIRE message containing pertinent information and instructions is critical.

Dialing Speed - CodeRED calls are placed at the rate of up to 60,000 households per hour for multiple communities simultaneously!

No Equipment to Purchase - CodeRED subscribers have direct access to the Emergency Communication Network maintained banks of high-speed dialers. There’s absolutely no equipment to buy or maintain.

Easy to use Internet interface - Through ECN’s customer web portal subscribers can access the CodeRED system from anywhere in the world. The CodeRED secure Internet web site allows users to create calling projects using proprietary mapping software, create and maintain calling lists to be used independently or in conjunction with geographic selection criteria, and to access CodeRED calling statistics to view the results of each call placed.
 
   
 
  What are the steps involved in launching a CodeRED?  
  There are 3 steps involved in launching a CodeRED calling broadcast:  
 
1) Define the calling population using the CodeRED Internet interface.
2) Record your message using the CodeRED IVR.
3) Launch your calls.
 
   
 
  What is the “Always-Call List”?  
  The CodeRED Always-Call List allows managers to define a list of individuals who will receive a call EACH time a CodeRED calling campaign is launched through their system account. This allows the Always-Call list receipents the ability to be the first to know when the system is utilized.  
   
 
  What are “Client Calling Lists”?  
  Client Calling Lists allow authorized CodeRED users to create and maintain lists of records that may be utilized independently or in conjunction with geographically selected records. Common examples of Client Calling Lists include: police staff, emergency workers, and fire fighting staff, volunteers, and special needs populations..  
   
 
  Can I create a job using both geographical criteria and calling lists?  
  Yes, CodeRED allows users to select records to call using both the geographic mapping interface AND the calling lists. When selecting records from multiple sources, the CodeRED system removes any duplicate records by phone number prior to launching calls.  
   
 
  How many call attempts does the CodeRED dialing system make for each telephone number?  
  The CodeRED dialing system attempts each record up to 3 times in the first round of calling in order to maximize the number of delivered messages. Multiple rounds of calling can be initiated for those numbers not contacted during the first round.  
   
 
  Are CodeRED messages only delivered to people who pick up the phone in-person?  
  CodeRED delivers your recorded messages to a live person and to answering devices using patented RealCall® technology. The disposition of each call result is viewable through the CodeRED Job Statistics Screen in Real-time.  
   
 
  How will I know when my calling project is completed?  
  The CodeRED website allows users to monitor the progress of their calling campaign in real time. The statistics website is updated once per minute while the campaign is active. A job summary notice can even be sent to one or more cell phones, Blackberries, or email accounts when the job is complete.  
   
 
  What if my computer is down or I don’t have Internet access?  
  If your computer is down or Internet access is unavailable, a CodeRED calling campaign can be executed (with the proper access codes and job number) from any phone using an existing job number for any pre-selected area or call recipient list.  
   
 
  What if I have trouble when I’m trying to get a critical message out?  
  ECN provides 24/7/365 emergency technical support for CodeRED clients.  
   
 
  Can my residents and businesses update their own emergency contact information in CodeRED?  
  Yes, ECN will provide a residential update webpage that allows residents and businesses to update or provide additional contact information. This emergency contact information may include VoIP, digital cable phone and cell phone information.
